About Laura

Laura Lashley’s public works are instantly recognizable by locals, and visitors can admire her murals in Winston-Salem’s historic Downtown Arts District & beyond.

Loosely grouped into three categories of subject matter, “Energy Abstracts,” “Mandalas,” and “Figurative works,” Lashley’s paintings sing with vibrant pigments and vibrate with pattern & rhythm.

Clients also seek out Lashley’s paintings on canvas to hang in their homes and workplaces. Like her murals, these works are created in attunement with their environment; Lashley often crafts custom color palettes which compliment the room and reflect her client’s aesthetic.

Recent and notable exhibitions include: Laura Lashley, Dye Pretty Salon, in partnership with Arts District in Winston-Salem, Winston-Salem, NC 2023; OUTSIDE IN, The Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts, Winson-Salem, NC, 2019; Laura Lashley: Taurus Meditation, SECCA (North Carolina Museum of Art, Winston-Salem), Winson-Salem, NC, 2018; Laura Lashley: New works, Delurk Gallery, Winson-Salem, NC, 2018.
